Look mommy Look
He came running to me,
with sparkling eyes
"look mommy look" he said
Dandelions were clutched
in his plump, dusty fist
they were limp from
his hands sweaty grasp.
It's a present for you
he said with a smile
I accepted them graciously,
And took them home
To press them in a book
Full of yellow memories
Now i turn to the page
Worn and wilted with time
and hear his young voice again
that day on the hill
He came running to me
"look mommy Look" he said!
